This imaginative take on the traditional Christmas stocking should have broad appeal (and other template sets are available—shark, bass—which you can add at registration). Students will learn cutting with our templates using a 28mm cutter—the smaller size that fewer people are familiar with. Students will use fusible fleece and learn how to do a lining. Students will learn how to use fusible foam/fusible glue and sew-in foam for the tails. These skills will be a great addition to your sewing repertoire.
OTHER NOTES ON THIS CLASS
You can participate in-store or online. We will be carrying the class on Facebook Live in the Martelli Quilters Group, and after the class you will receive a link to a video tutorial which you can watch as often as you like.
Additional specialty stocking templates (shark, bass) are available, and you can choose to add them when you register for $25.00 each. Only the mermaid stocking will be covered in the on-site class, but all three stockings will be covered in the video tutorial.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
LISA GIFFORD—Lisa’s love of arts and crafts began in childhood, sharing in the experience of her Mom and Grandma sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, etc. Lisa has dabbled in many different arts and crafts since then, but her love of quilting took over about 6 years ago when she was reintroduced to the art by her best friend, Brooke. Lisa greatly enjoys making quilts and gifts for friends and family.
LIZ LITTLEJOHN—Liz has been sewing and quilting for over 30 years. She sews, knits, and crochets—but quilting is her passion! Liz has a love of fabric and putting color together. Liz loves trying new techniques and always loves sharing and learning from her customers and teaching classes.
